Google AdWords Reporting Invalid Clicks and Rate
Posted by Hendry Lee on 08/3/06 in Click Fraud, Google AdWords, PPC News
Google is one step closer toward transparency in click fraud by adding the reporting fraud and invalid clicks columns available to all advertisers. They claim to show virtualy all the invalid clicks affecting an account in the metrics of invalid clicks and invalid clicks rate.

Some advertisers question the accuracy because Google is not currently tracking all the click fraud. However this is a step in the right direction.
It will be interesting if there is a site to compare click fraud across multiple industries. Advertisers could see the average click fraud rate to see if what happens is a trend or a major threat to them alone — by their competitors, for instance.
Data for invalid clicks is only available for reports dated January 1, 2006 to the present.
