Yahoo has just announced a new layout for ads in the search engine result pages. The new creative format brings Yahoo!’s standards more in line with Google’s. Advertisers will have a limitation of 70 characters in the body copy, instead of 190 characters. The changes will take place on January 18th, 2006.

Advertisers can now bid on Yahoo! Search Marketing without any minimal spending requirement. Previously, all Sponsored Search advertisers were required to spend at least $20 a month in click-through charges.
